Hyundai Creta SUV sells over 5 lakh units in Indian market

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), on Tuesday has announced that its Creta SUV has sold more than 5 lakh units in the domestic market since launch. The Hyundai Creta received a major update in March this year and it got 65,000 bookings within a short span, as claimed by the automaker.

The Creta remained the bestselling SUV of the country for three consecutive months, May, June and July 2020.

Commenting on crossing the 5 lakh units sales milestone, Tarun Garg, Director - Sales, Marketing and Service, HMIL, said, Hyundai Creta has been the blockbuster model in the Indian automobile industry ever since its launch in 2015. Redefining the SUV landscape in India, Creta's supremacy transpires from technological prowess and innovation, outperforming the industry benchmarks in all aspects."

He also said, "with the 500,000 sales mark Creta has set yet another benchmark in the industry, reaffirming a legacy of leadership in the SUV segment."

The Hyundai Creta is available in two petrol and one diesel engine options in the Indian market.
