Tata Motors recalls Tiago, Zest AMT diesel variants over emission issue

Tata Motors has issued a recall program for its hatchbacks Tiago and Zest over an emission compliance issue. The recall campaign affects the Zest AMT and Tiago 1.05 RTQ BS-IV variants.

The number of affected vehicles are not disclosed by the automaker though.

As the homegrown automaker has announced the Tata Zest AMT models that have a chassis number ranging between MAT624201FLD13319 to MAT624201GLC06228 and from MAT624027GPD11615 to MAT624201GPE15201, are being recalled.

On the other hand, the affected Tata Tiago models have a chassis number ranging between MAT626184GKF16560 and MAT626141HKB10162, as Tata Motors reveals.

The automaker said that it is carrying out the voluntary recall campaign on the affected BS-IV vehicles to rectify the potential emission issue, free of cost. The affected owners of these vehicles can contact their nearest Tata Motors dealership.

However, the exact issue of these affected Tiago and Zest hatchbacks are yet to be disclosed.

This is the second such recall campaign for the Zest and Tiago models, as a similar recall campaign was initiated a few years ago.
